W&N buys new Walter Mosley novel
28.01.13 | Charlotte Williams
Weidenfeld & Nicolson has acquired a new novel by US crime writer, Walter Mosley, which will see the return of his iconic detective, Easy Rawlins.
Editor Sophie Buchan pre-empted UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Suzanne Smith at Doubleday.
Little Green will be published on 6th June 2013 as an £18.99 hardback and e-book at £9.99.
Detective Easy Rawlins, who first appeared in the 1990 classic, Devil in a Blue Dress, makes a comeback in the title; his last appearance was in Blonde Faith in 2008.
Buchan said: "No one writes quite like Walter Mosley and it’s a joy to see him reunited with Easy Rawlins.
"Little Green is a wild ride through 1960s LA, a book so perfect and vivid you don’t just feel as though you’ve travelled, you feel as though you’ve time-travelled. It has everything I could have hoped for in a new Easy Rawlins mystery and more."
