Wilson trailer wins Bookseller award
01.01.70 | Philip Jones
National Film & Television School (NFTS) student Anna Lavelle's video for Jacqueline Wilson' My Sister Jodie has been announced the overall winner of the 2009 Book Video Awards, held in conjunction with Play.com. Random House, the NFTS and The Bookseller.
Her trailer received the most votes via Play.com where the three winning videos were posted, beating off competition from fellow NFTS students Felix Wiedemann' video for Malorie Blackman' Double Cross and Leevi Lemmetty' for Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud.
The three film-makers submitted winning pitches to create trailers for the three Random titles last year, receiving £5,000 to make their films and £1,000 prize money.
