WHS launches R&J children's promotion

W H Smith has launched its new Richard & Judy Children’s Book Club promotion with a “buy one, get one for £1” offer.

The titles will be available in all W H Smith stores, but the actual promotion will be run in around 300, said a spokesperson. The 2011 promotion will be placed in the children’s section of stores, although some of the books will also be displayed alongside the adult Richard & Judy Book Club titles. The books will not be age-ranged.

The titles included in the promotion include: Olivia’s First Term by Lyn Gardner (Nosy Crow); The Peppers and the International Magic Guys by Sian Pattenden (HarperCollins); Pegasus and the New Olympians by Kate O’Hearn (Hodder); and Young Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud by Andrew Lane (Macmillan).

The Poodle Problem by Anna Wilson (Macmillan); Stitch Head by Guy Bass (Stripes); Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop by Kate Saunders (Scholastic); Frogspell by C J Busby (Templar); and Hank Zipzer and the Crazy Classroom Cascade by Henry Winkler (Walker Books) complete the list.
