Waterstones launches summer campaign
12.06.12 | Lisa Campbell
Waterstones has today (12th June) launched a buy-one-get-one-half-price (BOGOHF) Summer Reading Offer in all of its 298 stores.
The new multi-buy promotion will be on at least 200 titles, concentrated on mainly on new, frontlist works.
Some titles in the promotion have been prescribed centrally by Waterstones head office including paperbacks from Alan Hollinghurst, Victoria Hislop, Max Hastings and Robert Harris, while others will be chosen by booksellers at individual stores.
Jon Howells, Waterstones PR and events manager, said the promotion would run through the summer months and that while some shops would have 200 titles in the offer, “larger shops might go for considerably more". The promotion will not include hardback or academic titles.
Waterstones ran the BOGOHP promotion this Easter for the first time since since scrapping its decade-long three-for-two promotion last October.
