Waterstone's has launched a book club in conjunction with Grazia magazine, with Bret Easton Ellis' Imperial Bedrooms (Picador) the first selected title.

Ellis was interviewed by the journalist Decca Aitkenhead. At the event, Ellis discussed the "depraved" nature of his narrators and misogyny in his books.
Each month an author will be interviewed in Grazia ahead of the event. August's choices are Alison Pearson's I Think I Love You and David Nicholls' One Day who will appear at a joint event at the High Street Kensington store next month.
Waterstone's head of events and PR Fiona Allen said: "A lot of Grazia readers are London-based
but by the same token, a lot are metropolitan readers so we will be looking to have some of our future events in our bigger city stores."
During the event, the books are sold at the existing Waterstone's price promotion - in Imperial Bedrooms' case, £12.99. However, readers can redeem the £3 ticket price off the cost of the book.
Waterstone's first announced the partnership with Grazia at its supplier conference earlier this year.
Allen said: "We are keen to investigate partnerships with third party media companies. Grazia has shown their commitment to books and literature with how they have expanded its culture section. There's an interesting crossover between Grazia readers and our customers and this is a good way for publishers, ourselves and Grazia to work together and highlight some of those authors and their books."
Grazia's website will host a video from the event later this week.
