Penguin has teamed up with B.o.B’s Lobster van to give away free signed copies of Graeme Simsion’s romantic comedy novel The Rosie Project and lobster rolls to the first 100 people who visit their popup in Spitalfield’s Market today, Valentine's Day (14th February).
Debut author Simsion will be at the market signing copies, marking the last day of his #lobsterlove book tour to 14 bookshops and libraries around the UK.
The offer will start from 11.30am and, after the first 100 books and rolls, market goers can buy a lobster roll and signed copy of the book for the special price of £15. Bedales Wines at Spitalfields Market is also offering 10% off of all retail wine for anyone who presents a copy of the book.
Known as "the lobster book", The Rosie Project tells the story of Don Tillman, a thirty-nine-year-old geneticist with undiagnosed Asperger's syndrome. Don has never had a second date so he devises the Wife Project, a scientific test to find the perfect partner. As he embarks on his unique quest to find a wife, the reader discovers his foibles, his unique insights on love and his penchant for lobster on Tuesdays. The book has sold 68,836 copies through Nielsen BookScan since its publication in April 2013.
As part of the offer, people can also win dinner for two at B.o.B’s Lobster and a signed copy of the book by tweeting a Valentine’s message using the hashtag #rosieloveslobster.
