Two Rowling events for The Casual Vacancy
01.08.12 | Charlotte Williams
J K Rowling will be appearing at two public events this autumn to discuss her first novel for adults, one at the Southbank Centre in London, and one at the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.
Rowling will be discussing The Casual Vacancy in conversation with BBC journalist Mark Lawson on the book's release date, 27th September, at 7.30 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre. The event will be followed by a book signing. Tickets will be on sale for £15 and £12.
On 6th October, Rowling will be in conversation with writer and broadcaster James Runcie at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, with a book signing also following that session. Tickets will be £15.
Jane Furze, Literature Festival Director at Cheltenham Festivals, said: "We are thrilled to welcome J.K. Rowling to The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. The Casual Vacancy has been one of the most talked about books of the year and we very much look forward to hosting this wonderful event."
At both sessions, only one book will be signed per person.
