Two Roads buys Kirsty Wark novels
29.11.12 | Benedicte Page
Hodder imprint Two Roads has acquired two novels from "Newsnight" presenter Kirsty Wark.
Publisher Lisa Highton bought world English language rights from Felicity Bryan at the Felicity Bryan Agency.
The first novel, Wark's fiction debut, will be titled Other Women's Flowers. Set on the Isle of Arran, it is described as "a haunting story of discovery over many generations of women and the surprising and tragic secrets of their lives." Publication will be in spring 2014.
Highton called Wark "a born storyteller", saying the book would appeal to fans to Maeve Binchy and Rosamunde Pilcher.
