Macmillan has two titles among the eight books featuring in W H Smith's fourth Richard and Judy Book Club promotion, which goes instore tomorrow (1st September).
Next of Kin by David Hosp and The End of Everything by Megan Abbot (Picador) are included on the list, which will be sold under a buy one, get one for £1 offer. A half price voucher code will also be made available via the podcast, which is set to continue, and a new chapter download service.
Man Booker longlistee Carol Birch's Jamrach's Menagerie (Canongate); The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender (Windmill); Left Neglected by Lisa Genova (Simon & Schuster); and Everything and Nothing by Araminta Hall (HarperPress) also make the eight, which is completed by The Black House by Peter May (Quercus) and Dark Matter by Michelle Paver (Orion).
Since the campaign, fronted by Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley, was launched a year ago, the selected books have sold more than three million copies, according to the retailer.
Rachel Russell, WHS books business unit director said: "The last 12 months have seen fantastic book club sales for us and we're delighted that readers have enjoyed Richard and Judy's selections and embraced the unique online book club content that we've provided.
"As we've come to expect from Richard and Judy, the Autumn Book Club is rich in talented authors with incredible story-telling and once again we must thank the authors and publishers for their input."
W H Smith will continue its Book Club Podcast, which launched three months ago and has had more than 130,000 hits through iTunes. It will feature author interviews and facts about each book club author. It will also offer readers the chance to sample the first chapter of other book club titles.
Madeley said: "It's been an exceptional first year and one that we couldn't have predicted would be so successful. Judy and I have enjoyed reading and recommending so many superb titles across the various seasons. The Podcast was a surprise hit for us and we're delighted that we'll be expanding on it and offering readers a different insight with author interviews each fortnight."
Finnigan added: "The feedback that we've had from readers has been so encouraging. We love to hear what people think and exchange reviews and thoughts—that's what the Book Club was always designed to do—and to have the record sales that we've experienced is testament to the authors. Long may it continue!"
