Two fantasy series for Headline
16.12.11 | Charlotte Williams
Headline has acquired two three-book deals, with commissioning editor John Wordsworth buying a military fantasy series, Shadow Ops, and an epic fantasy series, provisionally titled Steelhaven.
In a pre-emptive deal, Wordsworth purchased world rights in the Steelhaven books by Richard Ford through agent John Jarrold, with publication dates to be confirmed. He also bought UK and Commonwealth rights in Shadow Ops by US author Myke Cole, represented by John Berlyne at the Zeno Agency on behalf of Joshua Bilmes of Jabberwocky Literary Agency.
Control Point, the first Shadow Ops book, will be published in the second half of 2012.
