There will be no new summer series of More4's "The TV Book Club", as production company Cactus re-models the show "for a new broadcaster" in autumn 2012 and plans a "new-look integrated retail and e-tail promotion to support it".
The most recent series of "The TV Book Club" will be repeated on Channel 4 from 14th April at 9 a.m. for six weeks, with no new summer series planned.
Cactus has also announced that the ITV3 Crime Thriller Awards will take place on 18th October at the Grosvenor House Hotel. The event will be broadcast on ITV3, preceded by a six-week series focusing on crime writers, to be called "The Crime Map of Britain".
The National Book Awards, also part of Cactus TV's book programming, will take place on 6th December, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Londond for a second year.
Cactus TV managing director Amanda Ross said: "The commitment to books at Cactus TV is self-evident. The Crime Awards and the National Book Awards are annual fixtures in publishing and TV calendars alike, and we're delighted with the reception they receive."
