Cecil Court bookshop Watkins has received a "tremendous amount of support" since it re-opened in March, with a website relaunch and a summer festival planned for the next couple of months.
Owner Etan Ilfeld said: "Since reopening, Watkins has had a tremendous amount of support from its customers and we have been selling well." He added the Watkins website would be relaunched in a couple of months, but in the meantime he has created Youtube and Facebook pages for the bookshop.
To raise awareness of Cecil Court's heritage, Ilfeld has organised a one-day summer festival on 24th July. During the Flicker Alley festival (Cecil Court's original name) all of Cecil Court's shops will have film-related window displays, and there will be talks, and various events.
Ilfeld added that he has continued to publish the Watkins Review and has modified it into more of a magazine than a catalogue. It is no longer free, but customers who spend over £12 online or in-store will receive a complimentary copy.
