Transworld has bought the rights to two new non-fiction titles by author Rowland White.
Publisher Bill Scott-Kerr acquired UK and Commonwealth rights. The first title in the deal is Operation Storm, which will be an account of Britain's secret war in Oman in the early seventies. The book focuses on the Battle of Marbat in July 1972 when nine SAS men fought off an assault by 300 Russian and Chinese trained guerillas. White has conducted interviews with pilots, generals, medics and diplomats for the title. Operation Storm will be published by Bantam Press in May 2011.
Scott-Kerr said: "I am delighted to have secured another two-book deal with Rowland. He has an innate understanding of what makes a great story. . .
"He's written two classics already, Operation Storm is set to be another."
White has previously written Vulcan 607 and Phoenix Squadron, both published by Transworld.
