Transworld and RHCP sign Randi Zuckerberg
17.09.13 | Joshua Farrington
Transworld and Random House Children's Publishers (RHCP) have signed two books from US businesswoman Randi Zuckerberg.
Doug Young, Transworld publishing director, and Sue Buswell, deputy publisher picture books at RHCP acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in a deal with Simon Trewin at WME on behalf of Margaret Riley and Jay Mandel at WME in New York.
In Dot Complicated, Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and former marketing director at the company, describes her own life in the tech business, from working in television, at Facebook, and founding her own media company, Zuckerberg Media.
Her other book is Dot., a children's title illustrated by Joe Berger, which follows the character Dot who has a huge appetite for technology, but also learns that there must be a balance between that and other forms of play.
Both books will be published on 7th November 2013, while Zuckerberg will be in the UK in December following an extensive UK book tour to promote the titles.
