Titan Comics in graphic novel venture
10.01.13 | Joshua Farrington
Titan Comics has teamed up with comics veteran Dave Elliot on a new co-publishing venture which will include releasing new and classic graphic novels alongside weekly magazines.
The partnership is developing several properties with two new series, A1 and Tomorrowland, launching in June and with collected anthologies of Weirding Willows, Monster Massacre and Sharky coming in September.
Weirding Willows, written by Elliot with various artists, pictures a world where Earth, Oz, Neverland and other places overlap, while Sharky, also by Elliot, illustrated by Alex Horley, follows the teenage exploits of the earthbound child of Odin. Monster Massacre is an anthology of fantasty and sci-fi with contributions from writers such as Alan Moore and Dave Dorman.
Elliot has previously worked on global brands such as 2000AD and Justice League of America before co-founding Radical Studios, which created Oblivion, now a film starring Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman.
Titan Comics is the new imprint from Titan Publishing, aiming to produce a range of creator-owned products, with several collections launching in July 2013.
