Headline imprint Tinder Press has acquired two more novels by Maggie O’Farrell, and will repackage and rerelease the author’s backlist this summer.
Publisher Mary-Anne Harrington brokered a deal for the new books from Victoria Hobbs at AM Heath.
Farrell has been with Headline since 2000, and her most recent novel was Instructions for a Heatwave in 2013, which was the first of her books released under the Tinder Press imprint and was shortlisted for the 2013 Costa Novel Award.
This summer Tinder Press will release all of O’Farrell’s backlist in a new cover style following the jacket for Instructions for a Heatwave, which won designer Yeti Lambregts an Academy of British Cover design award.
The relaunch will be supported with a #DiscoverMaggie social media campaign, and the release of a free digital compendium introducing readers to the world of her books.
Harrington, said: “Maggie is almost unique among writers at work today in the way she marries critical acclaim with consistent sales, and the connection she has with her readership is extraordinary. She just goes on getting stronger with every book, so the prospect of being able to plan ahead now for her long-term future at Tinder Press is tremendously exciting.”
The first of the new books will be published in 2016.
