THP buys biography of Richard Harris

Mark Beynon, commissioning editor at The History Press, has acquired world rights to A Man Called Harris: The Life of Richard Harris by Michael Sheridan and Anthony Galvin, from agent Isabel Atherton of Creative Authors.

A Man Called Harris: The Life of Richard Harris focuses on the actor's roots. Atherton said: "I am delighted The History Press will be publishing A Man Called Harris . . . Richard Harris was a legend and [the authors] are thrilled to be telling his life story."

Beynon added: "We are delighted to have acquired the rights to this excellent biography."

Harris was an actor, singer-songwriter, theatrical producer and producer who played Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films.
