T&F buys Manson Publishing
10.04.13 | Joshua Farrington
Specialist medical publisher Manson Publishing has been bought by Taylor & Francis imprint CRC Press. The sum involved was undisclosed.
The London-based publisher focuses on illustrated medical, veterinary and science books, and has been operating since it was founded by Michael Manson in 1992.
Manson said: "I am delighted that they have decided to take us on. To them it may be a relatively small acquisition, but it is a huge step for our firm, and I am sure it will be excellent news for our authors."
John Lavender, senior vic-president of publishing and online products at US-based CRC Press, said: "We liked the Manson product and were keen to develop our list in veterinary science. The books will publish under the CRC name, but maintain the Manson brand."
