Simon & Schuster US has revealed further marketing material, including video, audio and reading group guides, for its worldwide release of Philippa Gregory's new novel, The White Queen.
The novel, Gregory's first with S&S, will be supported by a widget, which contains at least three interviews between Gregory and British journalist Christopher Cook. The widget also features reading group guides to Gregory's books, author Q&As and links to a dedicated website. It can be hosted on social networking sites and blogs.
There will also be a dedicated White Queen landing page on simonandschuster.com, including a family tree explaining the book's characters and their relationships, a map detailing the geography of the book and an extract from The Red Queen, Gregory's next book in the series.
Simon & Schuster UK has already begun its marketing for the book's release. Gregory recently completed a Twitter serialisation of The White Queen.
The White Queen is the first in a series of novels set amid The Wars of the Roses. The book is a tale of one woman's ambitious ascent to royalty and the unsolved mystery around her son's imprisonment.
