Simon & Schuster is the latest publisher to offer a Royal Wedding title with a "unique" biography of Prince William's future wife Kate Middleton.
Kate by celebrity biographer Sean Smith aims to offer a "unique perspective" on Middleton. The title will look at what the future holds for the Royal couple and will also include three illustrated sections with photographs. The title will be published shortly after the wedding, which is to be held on 29th April next year.
Smith said he would treat Middleton in the same manner as other celebrities such as Cheryl Cole, Kylie Minogue and Victoria Beckham, all of whom he has written on before: "[they are] all beautiful women with fascinating life stories". He added: "We no longer put celebrities on pedestals—we want to share their worlds."
Non-fiction editorial director Mike Jones bought world English rights from Curtis Brown.
Jones said Smith would bring a "thoroughly modern approach to the story everyone wants to read". He added: "Sean will tell the story with the verve and insight we have become accustomed to. This is a story which will appeal to a whole new generation of readers. Gone are the days when members of the Royal Family could hide behind Palace walls.
"In the post-Princess Diana world we enjoy reading about celebrities and the escape they offer from our daily lives."
