S&S launches online crime community
20.06.12 | Charlotte Williams
Simon & Schuster has launched new microsite The Dark Pages, intended to be an online crime fiction community.
The site has sections including "Case Studies", giving character profiles, and "Books", with sampler chapters available to download of new and forthcoming titles.
Fiction editor Emma Lowth said the site, www.thedarkpages.co.uk, is following on the success of www.booksandthecity.co.uk, which is an online community for women's fiction titles, and said: "More than just a website, this is the start of an online community where authors, bloggers, fans, even editors, can join the discussion and share a love of crime fiction in all its forms."
The site will host exclusive content and bring news from S&S crime authors, including Lynda La Plante, Vince Flynn, Chris Carter and Penny Hancock. Each month it will run a prize draw.
