S&S Children's Books to break Silence from Fitzpatrick
01.01.70 | Charlotte Williams
Simon & Schuster Children's Books has acquired a book from its young adult author Becca Fitzpatrick.
Publishing director Ingrid Selberg bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Catherine Clarke at the Felicity Bryan Agency, on behalf of Catherine Drayton of Inkwell Management.
The book will be Fitzpatrick's fourth in the Hush, Hush series. As yet untitled, it will be published in the UK, US, Australia and Canada in autumn 2012. The third instalment in the series, Silence, is published on 4th October.
Venetia Gosling, editorial director for S&S UK Children's, and Fitzpatrick's UK editor, said: "We have been secretly hoping for a fourth book in the Hush, Hush sequence as, I'm sure, have the thousands of fans Becca has here in the UK and internationally. I am absolutely delighted to confirm that Silence is not the end for Patch and Nora, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how Becca develops their relationship in the next book."
