S&S acquires Rorschach story

Simon & Schuster has acquired the story of the inkblot psychological test and its inventor Hermann Rorschach.
Editorial director Mike Jones bought UK and Commonwealth excluding Canada rights in The Inkblot Experiment by Damion Searls from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein Literary agents.
The book tells the story of the Freudian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst and travels from a Swiss sanitorium in the 1910s into Nazi war crime tribunals, child custody battles, popular culture and language, and the "forefront of contemporary research on visual thinking", according to the publisher.
S&S will publish in 2014.
