Sphere buys Cox's 'moggy adventures'
31.01.13 | Charlotte Williams
Sphere has acquired a new book by Tom Cox, the "chronicler of cat (mis)behaviour" and author of Under the Paw: Confessions of a Cat Man. Cox was previously published by Simon & Schuster.
Commissioning editor Hannah Boursnell bought UK and Commonwealth rights direct from Cox in The Good, The Bad and The Furry and will publish in paperback and e-book in October. The publisher said the book will "recount the mayhem, midnight meows and delightful doorstep 'gifts' that go hand in hand with cat ownership", with the author's "trademark wit".
Boursnell said: "We've had great success in recent months with our animal memoirs-Boo! by Lisa Edwards and Pollyanne by Sarah Oliver have been real festive favourites-and I'm just delighted to be bringing Tom to Sphere to continue this fine tradition. I can't wait for Tom's many fans to read his next instalment of moggy adventures."
