Adam Khwaja, senior producer at BBC Children's, Matt Locke, acting head of cross platform for Channel 4, and Dr Sue Cranmer, principal researcher at Futurelab, are among the speakers at this year's Bookseller Children's Conference which focuses on digital developments and children's reading. The full-day conference will take place at the British Library Conference Centre on 30th September.
Speakers will consider how children, teenagers and young families are responding to the new digital landscapes and how publishers can approach these new environments from a position of strength. The conference will explore the success of digital-based initiatives from social networking sites like Moshi Monsters and Stardoll to the latest headline-grabbing apps, and how these can be used to drive readership.
How publishers are monetising their digital initiatives and using the opportunities offered by the digital environment to promote their books will also be discussed, and an insight into digital rights will be given by rights expert Louise Hughes, contracts director for Penguin Books.
There will also be opportunities to meet other delegates and to put your questions to the speakers. For details visit thebookseller.com/seminars.html.">http://www.thebookseller.com/seminars.html">thebookseller.com/seminars.h...
