Sony offers first Harry Potter book free with new reader
01.09.11 | Graeme Neill
Readers will be able to download the e-book of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for free with the limited edition model of the new Sony Reader.
Further details have emerged about the Reader, which is set to go on sale in Europe in October, with the UK one of the first countries to put the reader on sale. US pricing is expected to be $149 (£91.79). The Reader Wi-Fi is dubbed as the world's lightest 6-inch e-reader and has 2GB of internal memory, enought for 1,200 e-books.
The Reader Wi-Fi will allow readers to borrow books from public libraries via Overdrive, thanks to an icon on the device. There is also in text access to Google and Wikipedia.
