The first episode of “Richard & Judy’s New Position”, the flagship show of new UKTV channel Watch, reached average viewing figures of just 143,000 last night (7th October), according to interim figures.
The show peaked at 200,000 viewers by the end of the 8-9pm show, significantly lower than the audience numbers the couple’s 5pm show attracted on Channel 4, which peaked at three million in 2007.
“Richard & Judy’s New Position” will be broadcast every weekday at 8pm, and repeated at 9am and 5pm, with the ratings “expected to grow substantially” once these figures are included.
Richard & Judy’s Book Club strand will begin in tomorrow night’s (9th October) episode.
