Ebury Press has acquired memoir Seven Deadly Sins by Corey Taylor, lead singer of heavy metal band Slipknot.
Ebury publisher Jake Lingwood acquired UK and Commonwealth (exc Canada) rights from Marc Gerald at The Agency Group NY for an undisclosed sum.
Lingwood said: "Corey's story is incredible, and his way of telling it absolutely unique. Corey has written an intensely personal and mind-blowing book that is going to amaze his millions of fans in the UK and around the world."
Slipknot's debut album was released in 1999, and, among other honours, the group won the Kerrang! Award for Best International Band in 2009. Taylor is also lead singer of Stone Sour, which formed originally in 1992 and has released three studio albums, including Audio Secrecy this year.
Ebury Press plans to publish in spring 2011.
