Christine Jones, Simon & Schuster's UK sales director, is leaving the business after four years following what was described by the publisher as "fundamental review" of the business.
S&S executive director Kerr MacRae said it was restructuring the sales team because of market challenges and a desire to develop its brand name authors. No further departures are expected but the new structure will be finalised over the coming weeks.
MacRae said: "It is a great tribute to [Jones] that we have one of the most stable and experienced sales teams in the business and the whole company will be wishing her the very best for the future and thanking her for her commitment, loyalty and dedication."
Jones joined Simon & Schuster in 2006 from Penguin, where she was head of special markets.
