Literary agents, publishing professionals and authors will make up a judging panel for the first Self-Publishing Summit, which will lead to an independent author winning a "traditional publishing deal" with New Generation Publishing.
The summit will take place on Saturday 24th November in King’s College London and will invite self-publishers to give elevator pitches for their books to a panel of judges made up of industry professionals such as Tibor Jones literary agency director Sophie Lambert, Legend Press managing director Tom Chalmers and sales and marketing director of the History Press Tim Davies.
The book which "best captures the imaginations" of the panel will be published New Generation Publishing and promoted by Authoright for free, according to Summit organisers Authoright and New Generation Publishing.
A spokesperson for the summit said: "The summit aims to demystify the publishing industry and champion self publishing as a welcome innovation for both authors and publishing professionals. It is a unique opportunity to bring together authors, self publishers, traditional publishers, literary agents, editors and book marketing companies under one roof."
