Screenwriter to Can of Worms

Can of Worms Kids Press has acquired a debut from "Gnomeo & Juliet" screenwriter Rob Sprackling.

The indie bought world rights to Born Again, Ben from Gemma Hirst of Gemma Hirst Associates.

Born Again, Ben is the story of 11-year-old Ben, "whose strongest passion in life is being a bully". One day he is hit by a bus—and is reborn as a cockroach. The publisher described it as a "modern-day fable that will have the whole family in stitches time and time again".

Can of Worms will publish in September 2012.
