18.05.12 | Charlotte Williams
Choc Lit title Please Don't Stop the Music by Jane Lovering has won the Romantic Novel of the Year award, presented at the Romantic Novelists' Association's summer party last night [Thursday 17th May].
It is the first title from the indie to scoop the overall award, with fellow Choc Lit title Never Coming Home by Evonne Wareham winning the Joan Hessayon New Writers' Scheme Award.
The Romantic Novel of the Year shortlist was comprised of the category winners from the RNA's annual awards, the RONA, with Lovering beating off competition from Christina Courtenay, Caroline Green, Katie Fforde and Rosie Thomas.
