Rice twice as nice for Quercus
24.02.12 | Charlotte Williams
Quercus imprint Heron Books has bought two new novels by Eva Rice, who was previously published by Headline.
Publisher Susan Watt bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Claire Conrad at Janklow Nesbit in two books, with the first to be The Misinterpretation of Tara Jupp, set in the 1960s in London and the countryside. The publication date is to be confirmed.
Watt said: "Eva Rice has long been one of my favourite authors, and here the electric atmosphere of the early rock and roll era in London contrasts wonderfully with the apparent conventions of the countryside. A great cast of characters and a rare combination of style and warmth make this a book to lift the spirits of everyone of every age."
