11.09.13 | Benedicte Page
Pam Shirley, co-founder of publisher Ragged Bears, has died.
A statement from her family said that Shirley, born in 1941, died peacefully at home with her daughters.
Pam Shirley created Ragged Bears with husband Charles in 1984, taking over the reins in 1995 following his death. The family will continue running the publishing house.
A service to remember Pam Shirley will be held at Sherborne Abbey on Wednesday 18th September at 2.30pm, with attendance welcomed. A reception will follow.
