Quadrille has acquired a new title by cookery author 20-year-old Sam Stern, who has previously written five cookbooks published by Walker.
Publishing director Jane O'Shea bought world rights through Felicity Blunt of Curtis Brown to the title, Virgin to Veteran, which features masterclasses taking a first-time cook through all the basic methods, as well as advice on saving cash, time, and making variations on core dishes. It includes more than 100 recipes and will be published in May as a £20 hardback.
O'Shea said: "Sam has had outstanding success with his previous books for students and young people and we are looking forward to widening his audience."
