Puffin is joining in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebrations by publishing a year-long e-short series, featuring one title for each manifestation of the Doctor, all written by "exciting names" in children's fiction.
The first of the 11 e-books will be released on 23rd January 2013, with its author to be revealed on the BBC Worldwide Doctor Who Facebook page on 7th January. The following 10 titles will then be released on the 23rd of each month through till November, with each author announced on the first Monday of their publication month. A video featuring them will be released on the 11th of each month.
The shorts will be priced £1.99, and a paperback anthology collecting the eleven e-books will be published on 23rd November priced £7.99.

We are delighted to have eleven sensational children's authors involved in the series, all bringing an individual style, imagination and interpretation to their e-short tribute to The Doctor. This is a who's who of children's fiction coming together to celebrate the much-loved Doctor Who."
The e-book shorts series is part of Penguin Children's wider Doctor Who publishing programme for 2013, which also includes an Anniversary Sticker Book, Where's the Doctor? (April), the Doctor Who: Official Annual 2014 (August), Doctor Who: Lost in Space (September), and The Essential Guide to Fifty Years of Doctor Who (October).
