Prize-winning debut to Hutchinson

Hutchinson has bought Lamb by Bonnie Nazdam, a début novel which won the 2011 Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize.

Hutchinson associate editorial director Emma Mitchell acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Carol Lazare at Other Press in New York, with plans to publish in Windmill paperback in 2013.

Mitchell said: “Bonnie’s novel is beautifully written, haunting and unsettling. It is a remarkable début which is unlike anything I’ve ever read.”
