PFD sells app rights in Quaso

PFD has sold the iPhone app rights to John Enock's maths puzzle Quaso to Adduce Studios. The deal was struck by PFD's digital agent Tom Williams.

The app will appear in the iTunes app store this spring, and will use social media such as Twitter and Facebook to build a following.

Williams said: "This is a fantastic game that translates perfectly to the iPhone platform, and it's a great opportunity to show that the application market place offers authors more opportunities than just digital versions of books." He is currently working on a number of app development projects for PFD clients.

Creator John Enock, head of maths at Ardingly College Prep School, said: "I am absolutely delighted to be working with Adduce on the launch of Quaso as an iPhone app.

"I very much hope that my new game will challenge and amuse puzzle enthusiasts at all levels. You don't need much mathematical skill to give Quaso a try, but I guarantee it is an ideal way of polishing up rusty numeracy skills, while engaging in a game of logic and brain power".

Enock published Cryptic Cross Numbers with Tarquin in 2008.
