09.11.12 | Joshua Farrington
Bloomsbury has appointed Mike Bryan in the post of executive director of Bloomsbury Information.
Bryan has spent 30 years in publishing, and is currently vice-chairman of Penguin Canada, as well as vice-president of the Canadian Publishing Council.
He has also spent three years as c.e.o. and president of Penguin India, and before that was senior vice-president of Penguin International.
His new role at Bloomsbury will mean working on its international product development and management services, reporting to Bloomsbury Information’s m.d. Kathy Rooney.
Bloomsbury c.e.o. Nigel Newton said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike to the Bloomsbury executive team. He has a wealth of experience to bring to the company from his extensive international publishing career and my fellow directors and I look forward to working with him in the years to come.”
Bryan said: “I am really delighted to be joining the Bloomsbury team who I have worked closely with in various capacities around the world over the past twenty years.”
