The Egyptian government has now issued Gaza travel permits to the Palestine Festival of Literature participants, after a delay.
PalFest wil depart for Rafah on 5th May, with the festival running in Gaza from 5th to 9th May. The closing event will be held in Cairo, with participants reporting on what they saw and heard discussed in Gaza.
A statement from PalFest said: "We believe in the fundamental unity between Egypt and Palestine and hope that these events will forge new connections between the people of Gaza and Cairo."
