Orion Children's Books signs another Deadly title
17.09.12 | Charlotte Williams
Orion Children's Books has acquired a new title by wildlife expert and adventurer, Steve Backshall, adding to his Deadly publishing programme.
Orion Children's Books managing director and publisher Fiona Kennedy bought world rights in the new title, Deadly Diaries, through Julian Alexander at LAW and Luigi Bonomi at LBA on behalf of BBC Worldwide. Publication date is to be confirmed.
Deadly Diaries is described as being "an in-depth and personal record showcasing full-colour photos, and a sneak peek behind the scenes with Steve Backshall and the Deadly team as they travelled across six continents in six months filming sixty record-breaking deadly animals for the new Deadly BBC TV series".
"Deadly" won a BAFTA for Best Factual Programme 2011, with Backshall winning the BAFTA for Best Children's Presenter in the same year.
