Omnibus acquires Adele biography
05.10.11 | Katie Allen
Omnibus Press is to publish a biography of double Grammy-winning singer Adele, penned by The Bookseller's non-fiction previews editor Caroline Sanderson.
Omnibus commissioning editor David Barraclough acquired world, all English and electronic rights to Someone Like Adele from Sarah Such at Sarah Such Literary Agency.
The title, lined up for March 2012, promises to "uncover the real Adele” and will include her childhood, rise to fame, heartbreaks and the stories behind her songs.
Barraclough said: "Caroline is undoubtedly the ideal author to do justice to Adele's extraordinary success story and Omnibus Press is thrilled to be working with her.”
Sanderson added "I'm delighted to be writing about Adele for Omnibus Press. She's a beguiling subject: an award-winning singer-songwriter with a stupendous voice, whose soul-baring music seems to strike a chord with almost everyone."
Sanderson edits The Bookseller's non-fiction previews and has written for the Times, She, Mslexia and Books for Keeps as well as writing three other non-fiction books.

If I were Ms Sanderson, I'd buy John Blake's biog of Adele out next week and then just "copy" and "paste"
