Due to a hardware failure at book sales provider Nielsen BookScan, production of The Bookseller's official bestseller charts this week has been delayed.
A team at BookScan's offices in Woking have been working through the night to restore the hardware which will allow processing of the data for the week ending 10th November to begin, but at the time of writing Nielsen was unable to provide a timeframe on when the processing will complete. A further update is promised later this morning.
As a consequence of the delay, The Bookseller, in addition to other media clients, will run alternative charts this week. The Bookseller will be running four-week bestseller lists (ending 3rd November) in this week's issue (16th November). As soon as data becomes available, the regular weekly bestseller charts will be produced and uploaded online exclusively at thebookseller.com/charts.
