New TV series for Peter Rabbit

An animated pre-school series based on The Tales of Peter Rabbit is in the works for transmission next year.
Frederick Warne & Co, owned by Penguin, announced the deal with media content company Chorion and entertainment brand Nickolodeon today (4th October).
The series, which will feature many of Beatrix Potter’s chracters including Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, is due to air on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr in 2012.
Stephanie Barton, Frederick Warne m.d., said: "We are very pleased to be working with Chorion and Nickelodeon in a global strategic relationship to further develop Beatrix Potter's legacy through this new animation project. Beatrix Potter's work is the jewel in our crown."
