New Sony devices about to launch
01.01.70 | Graeme Neill
Sony has listed its e-book readers as out of stock on its website, raising speculation it could be on the verge of launching a new digital device.
Last week, a filing was made at the United States Federal Communications Commission for a new device called the T1. The device is expected to have a memory card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity and a headphone jack. September is usually the date when Sony brings new e-book readers to market, launching its current generation of devices, a Touch and Pocket reader, in September 2010. It also launched its first e-book reader through Waterstone's in September 2007.
In April, Sony announced it was readying two tablet devices for launch this autumn, codenamed the S1 and S2.
