New sales role at Random for Waddington
01.01.70 | Benedicte Page
Random House UK has promoted Rob Waddington to the newly created role of deputy group sales director, international.
In his new role, Waddington will help lead RH's sales strategy across Europe, Asia and where applicable in North America. He will report to the group international director, Simon Littlewood. Waddington has been Cornerstone sales director for six years.
As part of his transition to his new role, Waddington will first undertake a secondment to Transworld Publishers where he will head up the Transworld UK and international sales teams while Sarah Roscoe, Transworld sales director, and Eleanor Wood, international sales and marketing director, are both on maternity leave. His international responsibilities in this phase will also include Random House Children's Publishers.
Littlewood commented: "We are seeing terrific growth in our markets outside the UK and now is the right time to strengthen the international department at a senior level. I am delighted that we are able to promote an internal candidate of Rob's calibre to this important new role, and we look forward to welcoming him to the team."
