Faber has bought a new book by John Lanchester about the language of money.
Julian Loose, publisher of arts and non-fiction at Faber, bought UK & Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, and Europe exclusive rights from Caradoc King at United Agents.
Faber descibed the book, How To Speak Money, as a "funny, clear and entertaining guide to the world of money". The reference book will examine the jargon-filled language used in the finance world, and explain what it means, and how it is used.
Lanchester is the author of economics titles Whoops! (Penguin) and the novel Capital (Faber).
Faber will publish How To Speak Money in September 2014.
