A new independent bookshop, which opened in Hampstead last month, will be holding a launch week of events in September. England's Lane Books opened on 12th July and is managed by Graeme Estry and owned by the Fergiani family who also own shops in West Hampstead and Queens Park.
The shop will hold an opening week of events starting on 13th September including author events with the likes of Ruth Rendell and Georgia Byng, and an event for press and publishers. Estry said he hoped going forward the shop would host a "busy" events schedule. "We'll definitely be holding events for both adults and children and book groups and readings for children."
Estry added: "It's going well, everybodys been very nice to us. They're very happy to have us in the community." The shop stocks a "comprehensive selection of high quality books and stationery for all tastes, budgets and ages".
England's Lane Books, which was previously a florist, will be open seven days a week with six staff in the shop, three of which will work full-time. Estry has previously worked as general manger in West End Lane Books and Queens Park Books.
