Myriad Editions has bought a "bold" debut novel by Jonathan Kemp as its lead title for next autumn's list.
Myriad's fiction editor Vicky Blunden acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Adian Weston founder of Raft PR.
London Triptych interweaves the lives and loves of three men in different historical periods. Two characters work as prostitutes, one is befriended by Oscar Wilde in the 1890s and the other is soon to be released from prison in the 1990s. The third character is an artist in the mid-1950s who is tentatively exploring his sexuality. The title will be published by Myriad in September 2010.
Blunden said: "This is a daring and intelligent literary work. Kemp's prose is pin-point precise and brings each of the three panels of the triptych to life. It is a bold novel and an exciting addition to Myriad's new fiction list."
