Mukherjee heads up Pan Macmillan India

Rajdeep Mukherjee has been appointed to the new position of senior vice-president, head of Pan Macmillan India, moving from his sales and marketing director role at the Harvard Business School Publishing.

Until three years ago, Mukherjee was Pan Macmillan's sales and marketing manager for the Indian sub-continent, a post he held for 11 years. Mukherjee will take over from Daniel Watts, regional director, India and Asia, as his two-year secondment to India ends in December. The publisher said a further announcement will follow with news of Watts' next move.

Pan Macmillan UK m.d. Anthony Forbes Watson said: "I'm delighted to welcome Rajdeep Mukherjee back to Pan Macmillan. Rajdeep brings great experience to the role as well as a deep understanding of Pan Macmillan.

"Over the last three years, Daniel Watts has laid the foundations for the next phase in Pan Macmillan India's development and Rajdeep has the right skill set to build on those foundations.
